Exclusive Interview
In May 2001, we had the chance to interview Terri Gold, the current World Champion of the upcoming Women of Wrestling Federation.
RHD: What got you into pro wrestling?
TERRI: I heard they were having try-outs for female wrestlers, I just couldn't resist. I had never been in the ring before WOW - but it was the best decision of my life. It is so awesome.
RHD: How did you get involved in WOW?
TERRI: see above
RHD: What do you like to do in your free time?
TERRI: I read a lot of inspirational & spiritual books, I love to watch movies, train, and play with Sonoma - my beautiful chocolate lab. I spend a lot of time meditating and working on myself and achieving realistic goals I set for myself.
RHD: How do you feel about being the champion?
TERRI: It truly is an awesome feeling. I am the only female that can say I am the first ever WOW Champion! That is something I will hold onto forever. The fans have really been incredible, but the other women in WOW have not been so nice...they all want the belt. Namely Riot, Danger, Slam, Poison & Mystery! I really have to watch out for them even outside of the ring.
RHD: What do you think about Vince McMahon?
TERRI: I think he is a great promoter and I love watching The WWF! Who doesn't?
RHD: If you could go to WWF/WCW would you?
TERRI: Not right now, I am very happy with WOW!
RHD: Who in wrestling do you think is a great female role model?
TERRI: Def. Lita and Chyna!
RHD: Is WOW coming back for a second season and if so when?
TERRI: Yes, WOW will air again in September, Watchout we are looking good!!
RHD: What would you like to say to all your fans out there?
TERRI: Oh my Gosh! Thank you so much for all of your support, your letters, emails, laughs and compliments. It is tough being the good girl, everyone seems to want the bad girls to win. I have really met some wonderful people in the industry and on the road. I really thank everyone for supporting WOW as a new syndicated TV show, it really means a lot to all of us. Always follow your dreams - Have the courage, strength & Faith to do anything. Always Believe in Yourself!
