Exclusive Interview
In October we had the chance to interview Princess Jade who has taken the Indie Scene by storm.

Q How did you get involved with Wrestling
My step-father Chris Lash had started the Allied Powers Wrestling Federation back in 1998, and I was helping out at the shows doing tickets and such when I was approached by a worker who wanted to know if I was interested in being a valet.  I wasn't sure at first but after seeing how much fun my brother was having with it I decided it was something I would like to train for and persue.

Q Which wrestling company do you work for
For the most part APWF, but I have worked for quite a few other promotions in PA, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Q What was it like in the Locker-room
It's great. Everyone works so hard and they all really come together when it is showtime.

Q Which wrestlers were the most fun to work with
Most of them have been great, but I think I had the most fun with Mae Young and Moolah. Those two ladies are so talented and so full of spirit!

Q How did you like your time in the company
I love my time with the company. For the most part I love everything about the business, except for the occasional massive ego that I run into.

Q Did you enjoy being a valet
I love it!

Q How are the other women to work with
They have been fabulous. In our lockerroom I have two very good friends Star and Nyx, as well as LeiLani and Sasha. We all get along really well.

Q What was it like entering a arena with fans shouting and looking at you
It was scary at first, I was so afraid of making a mistake, but I am now used to it and I love the attention (I mean, who doesn't in our business )

Q Did you enjoy doing the Media appearances
Yeah, meeting fans is a lot of fun. I really enjoy meeting and interacting with the children. It feels really good to know that you have children looking up to you and respecting your work.

Q What are your thoughts on the recent WCW Sale and doyou think WCW will turn around now that Vince McMahon is in command
I think Vince is an incredibly smart man, and so far it seems that everything he touches turns to gold... so I think that they will do great. And as long as their are jobs out their for wrestlers, then it's all good! :)

Q Have you been offered a WCW or WWF Contract
No
Q Who did you hang around with most backstage
I mostly hang out with the girls, or the people I am working with that particular evening. But I am friends with everybody, and we all- for the most part- get along great.

Q Did you make any close friends while wrestling
Yes, I have made many close friends who have not only become friends but a part of my family.

Q What are your thoughts on the Nitro Girls
I thought they were fantastic dancers.

Q What are your thoughs on Backyard Wrestling
I think that it is dangerous, and I understand wanting to wrestle, but the safety of the wreslters in backyard organizations scares me.  Unless someone is properly trained they are not only risking their own life, but the life of others too. It could be a very dangerous situation.

Q Do you have any comments when it comes to the XFL
Not really, I only watched it for like 5 minutes one day. Even though I was a cheerleader in high school, I never really got into pro football.

Q Do you have any comments when it comes to Missy Hyatt's Wrestling Vixxxens
Website
I think she is doing something that makes her happy and that makes her a lot of money, so it is a really great thing for her!

Q Do you have any comments when it comes to MTV's Show Tough Enough?
It is a really god way for people interested in becoming involved in the business to see what is actually involved. It really shows that wrestling is not a joke, and that it takes a lot of hardwork and dedication to be successful.

Q Have you followed the wrestling industry all your life
I used to watch WWF on Saturday mornings when I was younger, and then I didn't really start watching again until I was about 17 year old.

Q What federations have you been a fan of
APWF of course :) , WWF, MCW, and ECW

Q What wrestlers do you admire
All of the guys in the APWF, my late brother The Diceman, Julio Dinero, Jimmy Cicero, Joey Matthews, Chrisitian York... guys who bust their asses on the indies as well as in the big feds.

Q What wrestling related websites do you follow if any
www.apwf2000.com, www.1wrestling.com, www.indywrestling.net , www.glorywrestling.com

Q If you could wrestle anyone who would it be and why
I would have to say Lita, because she is so talented and she has a really great attitude!

Q If you could be any wrestlers valet who would it be and why
Mick Foley-- plain and simple, he is a legend.

Q Where do you see yourself in 10 years time
Living in the city and wrestling my weekends away :)

Q What has to be your greatest wrestling moment
It was managing my brother in what turned out to be his last match on August 7, 1999. He was the APWF Pennsylvania Champion and I helped him retain his title at that show.  A week later we left for vacation in Ocean City and he drowned our first day there. He was the best brother anyone could have and I miss him so much. He inspired me to keep wrestling.  I also won the second Diceman Memorial Cup at the annual show we hold in his honor. I dedicate all of my work to him, he was an inspiration to so many.

Q What would you call your best physical feature
Probably my legs or my chest

Q How has your wrestling career effected your life as a whole
Life is so short, as I found out with the untimely death of my brother, so wrestling is a way for me to live it to the fullest, always taking risks and reaping the rewards.

Q Do you enjoy all the Internet attention you get
Yeah, I love it. It feels good to know that people like you :)

Q What is it like knowing men have pictures of you on there walls and knowing many are in love with you
It's kind of wierd, but I guess you could say its... ummmm... flattering? *L

Q Can I have some comments on the following
Wrestlers/Divas

Chyna : Very talented, it is a shame she felt she had to loose muscle mass and size to be more beautiful. She was beautiful the way she was.

Lita : Such a great worker, she gets the crowd going and she can work the hell out of a match!

Trish Stratus : She has done a lot of great things, and she is so cute you have to love her!

Ivory : Great heel, and fantastic physique

Fabulous Moolah: She is such a great person, she gave me tons of advice and was truly fabulous to work with.

Mae Young : Also a great person, full of wit and stories of being on the road... great person inside and out.

Molly Holly : I love her new gimmick!!!

Hulk Hogan : He was my childhood favorite. I think my brother dressed up like him for Halloween one year when I was like 10.

Hardy Boyz: So much talent

The Rock : His mic spots are hilarious, and he has tons of charisma. Cute buns too *smile*

Kurt Angle: Makes Pennsylvania proud! Superior athlete!

Vince McMahon : The smartest man alive.... and I'll leave it at that

Q What kind of workout do u do
I love to walk and I also love dancing, so I incorporate them into my routine.

Q How much time do you spend on training and keeping fit
Keeping yourself in shape or getting yourself in shape is something that requires time every day.

Q Do you have any comments on the WWF's Chyna and how she has changed her look over the past 3 years
Sadly, she changed her look to impress people, when she was awesome the way she was.

Q What do you family think of your wrestling career
They are pretty supportive of me.  The first time my Dad came to a show I was wrestling Star and he got to see my bra- which didn't make him bery happy *L. I think he has gotten past that now though.  My sister has also become involved with the company, so it really ties us all together... we are a very close family!

Q Do your family support what you do
Yes and no. They support the fact that I love my career and I have a great time, but they hate the idea of me possibly getting injured.

Q Do you have much time to spend with your family
I spend as much time with them as I can.

Q What jobs interested you while you were growing up
I always wanted to be a television weather girl or be a dj on the radio. I thought I wanted to be Hulk Hogan for awhile too. I ended up going to college for Radio and Television.

Q Looking into your past what one thing would you change if you could
I would change it so that my brother would still be alive.  He was a very talented wrestler and he was only 17 year old- so he would have had many many years left. I love him so much, and I wish every day that he was still here.

Q Do you have any comments you would like to share with all of your fans
Thank you for all of your love and support.  I have pulled off some crazy stunts like being "Entombed in Concrete" to raise money for Children's Hospital and Indiana Hospital and my wrestling fans were right there the whole time. Their support has been tremendous. The support of some of fellow workers has been incredible too- Bubba Brewer, Dr.Feelgood, my sister Amanda, Jimi Fear, and Chris Lash were all there for me at the entombment.
