Exclusive Interview
In June 2001, we had the chance to interview Midajah, former WCW Diva and one of Scott Steiner's freaks.

RHD: How did you get started in wrestling?
MIDAJAH: Wrestling found me. They knew of me from fitness modeling and covers. The rest is history.

RHD: What have you been doing since the hiatus of WCW?
MIDAJAH: During my break from wrestling, I've been working harder than ever. Training 3 times a day for my photo shoots, working on my new video, etc.

RHD: Do you consider yourself a wrestling Diva?
MIDAJAH: No--I don't consider myself as a wrestling Diva.

RHD: What was it like training to be a wrestler?
MIDAJAH: Training for wrestling was extremely hard work--Very physical and exhausting, but it was fun.

RHD: What do you think about Vince McMahon buying WCW, and have you been offered a WCW contract yet?
MIDAJAH: I think it's a great opportunity for both federations that Vince McMahon bought WCW. He's a marketing genius. I can't comment on the rest.

RHD: If you could wrestle anyone in the business who would it be and
why?
MIDAJAH: I would love to wrestle Trish Stratus. Trish and I are good friends and go way back. It would be an honor and a lot of fun to work with her. Tylene [Buck aka Major Gunns] would also be a lot of fun--It was great working in school with her. She's not afraid to do any of the moves--We would have a blast.

RHD: What is your favorite band?
MIDAJAH: I love music so I have a lot of favorites. Here are some. I like Eminem, Blink 182, 9" nails, Janet Jackson, Sugar Ray--so as you can see, I love all kinds of music.

RHD: what is your favorite movie?
MIDAJAH: At the moment, my favorite movie is Shrek, The Mummy Returns and the Mexican. I also love all movies. I'm a movie buff. If I'm not going to the theater, I rent videos. almost forgot: Me, myself and Irene is one of my favorites which I own. I love to laugh.

RHD: If you were not a wrestler, what do you see yourself doing?
MIDAJAH: If I'm not wrestling, I would be doing what I do now--modeling, acting and always involved in the fitness industry. It is always important to be fit. I also do appearances, give seminars and love working with children.

RHD: What do you think about the following people?

Vince McMahon?
MIDAJAH: I have never had the pleasure of meeting, but he is obviously a very successful, charismatic and powerful businessman in the industry. I would be honored to meet him someday.

Chyna?
MIDAJAH: I had the pleasure of meeting her on a couple of occasions. Once at the Arnold Classic and the second time amongst mutual friends. I was pleasantly surprised. She is one of the most
feminine and sweet girls that I have met in the industry.

Lita?
MIDAJAH: I have never had the pleasure of meeting Lita, although I would love to. I think she is a spectacular wrestler and is amazing
to watch in the ring.

Madusa?
MIDAJAH: I met Madusa through WCW. She's a tough cookie. She was our coach at the Powerplant (wrestling school). Aside from what seemed to
be working with a drill sergeant, she was a great teacher and made sure we knew the proper techniques so could avoid injuries. When we
did a good job, she let us know as well as when we weren't doing things properly.
Although I was intimidated by her at first, I grew
to really like and respect her. She is a great wrestler.

Shane McMahon?
MIDAJAH: I had the pleasure of meeting Shane McMahon about 6 years ago, and on the last day of our taping WCW. He's very charismatic like his father, not to mention very good looking, again like his
father. I have never had the pleasure of working with him, and I hope to be able to work with him in the near future.

Scott Steiner?
MIDAJAH: I have worked with Scott for well over a year now, and let me just tell you--He is one tough guy!!! He is very intelligent, and extremely athletic. He takes his job very seriously and is a perfectionist.
I have learned a lot from him, and I thank him so much for helping me in wrestling. I laugh when I remember how patient he had to be when I was new and still learning the language of
wrestling. I have to say he is definitely one of my closest friends.
He rarely lets anyone get close to him, so I am honored to have such a close friendship with him.

RHD: Who did you get along with the most backstage?
MIDAJAH: I got along with everyone. My closest friends are Kevin Nash, Chae An, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, Tigress, and Pamela Paulshock.

RHD: What do you like to do in your spare time?
MIDAJAH: I love movies, working out, drawing portraits in pencil and charcoal, write poems, and I love outdoor sports--I love shopping of course. Once a week I get to cheat and eat everything I want!!!

RHD: How often do you work out?
MIDAJAH: I train for a half hour to 40 minutes with weights (different body part--one body part a day) 6 days a week. After I train, I do cardio. I get only 1 day off a week.

RHD: What type of men do you like?
MIDAJAH: Tall, athletic, great sense of humor, intelligent and great eyes, butt and lips--great teeth--shows how hygienic they are.

RHD: If there is one thing your fans probably don't know about you what would it be?
MIDAJAH: There's a lot of things my fans don't know about me, but I will share just one with you. I collect stuffed animals, especially Teddy Bears and bunnies--which are my favorite.
I will always love Hello Kitty (I'm a little girl at heart). Here's the secret-- regardless to where I travel or where I sleep, I always take my large beanie baby bunny that is about 3 feet tall. People always laugh at me when I'm boarding the plane.

RHD: Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans?
MIDAJAH: I appreciate all my fans and their loyalty. I am launching a new website where I will be auctioning a lot of interesting personal things. I will be selling posters, calendars, videos--all new on my site.
Something I would really be excited on my site will be "Spend a Day with Midajah." The lucky fan will have a full day of doing fun and exciting things--be sure to check out my new site for all the
details.

Thanks for the opportunity to do this interview. I look forward to the next one.
